Join Sarah and Phillip as they perform lovely vihuela songs from the Spanish Golden Age.
Join The Three Amigos as they pull out all of the musical stops with a fun-filled, variety show of lute ensemble music from all corners of Renaissance and Baroque Europe.
Entitled “La spagna,” this program features lute duets and solos composed at the flowering of the High Renaissance musical style. Includes music by such luminaries as Francesco da Milano, Vincenzo Capirola, Francesco Spinacino, as well as music from Emmanuel Adriaenssen’s Pratum Musicum.
Thomas Walker, Jr., plays the music of 17th-century Paris, showcasing a French sound that favored the most luxuriant suspensions, quirkily displaced rhythms, and prized subtly and ambiguity.
Join us for a concert featuring solo lute music from throughout the Baroque era, all written to be played on a Renaissance-tuned lute, for an evening of unusual (and unusually beautiful) music.
Baroque lutenist Paul Berget is joined by Baroque violinist Merriam Schultz Carlson and organist Bruce Jacobs in a performance of solo and ensemble pieces from the Baroque era.
