Music for All Fundraiser Cancelled

We are sad to announce that in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the SPCM has decided to cancel our Music for All fundraiser that was scheduled for Thursday, March 26. We had so looked forward to celebrating with you at this event, but the health and well-being of all involved is of paramount importance, so we have decided to avoid hosting this public gathering.

All current ticket holders will receive separate communication from the Conservatory about their ticket purchase.

Music for All is an important event for SPCM. This year it was budgeted to raise $7,500 to support our work: providing robust financial aid to students who would otherwise be unable to pursue lessons; bringing no cost, high quality music education to over 300 students in Twin Cities public schools; presenting free public concerts to the Twin Cities community; and partnering with nursing homes and hospitals to bring the joy and hope of music to those who cannot travel to attend a concert. The financial support that we receive through this event is essential to our ability to pursue our mission of music for all.

Given the circumstances, we must turn to our community to ask for your support. If you’ve already purchased a ticket (or tickets) to Music for All, you will be given the opportunity to donate your ticket purchase to the Conservatory (you will also be given the option of receiving a refund). If you planned to purchase tickets in the coming days, we ask you to consider making a donation in lieu of that ticket purchase. And whether or not you were able to attend our event, we ask that you consider a contribution today to support our work. Your support will help us fill the hole left in our budget by this cancellation and ensure that we can continue to enrich lives through the joy of music.

We are humbled by the support and enthusiasm of the SPCM community. The spread of this disease is unsettling, but your support inspires us everyday to share the joy of music and to create community through music’s universal language.

Thank you for your support.
