SPCM is please to announce further details about the 2020 Saint Paul Chamber Music Institute (SPCMI), and to begin accepting participant applications. In addition to the previously announced Guest Artist James Dunham and the return of the Jasper String Quartet, additional faculty members will include University of Wisconsin Artist-in-Residence and violin professor David Perry, Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra violist Hyobi Sim, and the return of violist Renee Skerik, alongside Institute Director Tom Rosenberg and Guest Artist Timothy Lovelace, piano. Next year’s SPCMI will be held from June 21–July 5, 2020.
The Institute is an immersive and exciting two-week chamber music program and festival for college and pre-college string players during which world-renowned faculty work with student ensembles each day as coaches, instrumental teachers, and mentors.
