As a solo pianist, Koki Sato has performed with such orchestras as New Japan Philharmonic, Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra and Schwob Philharmonic, and also made his appearance at the Suntory Hall, with Toho Gakuen Orchestra conducted by Leon Fleischer at the conclusion of a workshop co-produced by the Suntory Hall and Carnegie Hall. He is a winner of the AtlantaMusic Club Scholarship Audition, the Schwob School of Music Concerto Competition, and the Student Music Competition of Japan.

A native of Tokyo, Sato studied at Toho Gakuen School of Music in Japan, and completed his undergraduate degree under the tutelage of Alexander Kobrin and Tatiana Muzanova at Columbus State University, where he was a recipient of the prestigious Woodruff Award. Sato is currently pursuing a graduate degree with Alexander Braginsky at University of Minnesota.
