Join us for our next Coffee Concert on Wednesday, December 10 at noon featuring Laurel faculty violist Daniel Orsen and pianist Osip Nikiforov. This moving program of Bach, Schubert, Liszt, and Tchaikovsky will take us from the gloom of cloudy northern Germany to the sunny alpine pastures of the alps, and also explore the musical language and connections of Liszt and Tchaikovsky’s piano repertoire.

Daniel Orsen performs with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and recently released the recording “Wagner’s Nightmare,” a collection of works for viola and piano. Siberian born pianist Osip Nikiforov can be found concertizing on stages throughout the United States, including appearances with the Minnesota Orchestra, and is third prize winner of the 2016 San Antonio International Piano Competition.
