Liisa Conway (Locker) comes to the Saint Paul Conservatory of Music from a background in ballet education. Liisa received her early dance training in south-central Michigan at the Youth Dance Theatre of Michigan (now Ballet Chelsea) under Wendi DuBois, Laura McCarthy, and Nancy Giles. Liisa was a founding member, Principal Dancer, and eventually Ballet Mistress of the Fargo-Moorhead Ballet and the affiliated Gasper's School of Dance and Performing Arts while studying for B.A.s in mathematics and physics at NDSU. Liisa moved to Minneapolis in 2013 in order to further her ballet teaching career, teaching and working in administration and artistic leadership at Ashley Ballet Arts Academy. Liisa resides in North Minneapolis with her husband, Joe, their daughter, and their two English Cocker Spaniels. She is thrilled to join the team at SPCM, and looks forward to serving the student body in all of their enrollment needs.
