Tuition: $575 ($550 for Conservatory students)

The SPCM Summer Music Camp, a music day camp for aspiring young musicians, offers a setting in which children can explore their musical knowledge and ability through classes, creative play, and presentations by renowned professionals. No prior musical experience required! The camp culminates in performances on the last two days of camp.
The SPCM offers children high quality music education. Taught by world-class musicians, campers enjoy disciplined training and performance opportunities in a low-pressure culture. Students at all levels will experience individual growth and personal enrichment through the joy of music!
Electives
For Students Kindergarten-2nd Grade:
Morning Electives
Beginning Violin: Learn with other beginners in this introductory class.
Make & Play Your Own Instruments: Make lots of different kinds of instruments using everyday materials. Be creative and invent a new instrument! Then we'll put our instruments together and play a song!
Afternoon Electives
Drum Circle: Create music with xylophones, glockenspiels, and other rhythm instruments.
Intro to the Keyboard: Learn the basics of piano in a group setting.
For Students 3rd-6th Grade:
Morning Electives
Songwriting: Compose a short piece, working in groups and individually to perform at the final concert.
Intro to Viola da Gamba: Experience Baroque music while learning to play this gentle string instrument.
Intro to Guitar: A first look at acoustic guitar, learning the strings, simple songs, and basic chords.
Broadway: Develop your singing and dance skills by performing songs from Broadway musicals.
Tin Whistle: Learn the basics of this fun and versatile instrument from the Irish folk tradition
Percussion Ensemble: Hands-on rhythm instruction develops music and ensemble skills.
Orchestra: All string and wind players with note-reading skills can join the Orchestra.
Afternoon Electives
Intro to Cello: Take a first look at this beautiful, low-voiced string instrument and learn to play simple songs.
Ukulele: Learn simple songs and basic chords for ukulele.
Piano Master Class: Bring a performance-ready piece and a work in progress. At least 1 year of piano experience required.
Violin Master Class: Bring a performance-ready piece and a work in progress. At least 2 years of lessons required.
Chamber Music: Develop sight-reading, and ensemble skills in this group class. Open to all levels and instruments. Must be able to read music.
Rock Ensemble: Try your hand at playing in a real life rock band. Learn the basics of classic rock composition
Renaissance Band: Travel back to Elizabethan England and play in a Renaissance Band. For all instruments.
