Hansel Pérez-Carrero is a Cuban-born violinist and the director of the Havana Quartet, celebrated for fusing classical tradition with the vibrant rhythms of Cuban music. He has performed at renowned venues including Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, and Festival Napa Valley, and has collaborated with internationally recognized artists and ensembles.

A dedicated teacher with over a decade of experience, Hansel has taught violin and chamber music at leading institutions in Cuba and the U.S. He brings to SJSM-SPCM a dynamic approach that emphasizes both technical excellence and expressive freedom.
