Join us for a showcase of The Saint Paul Conservatory of Music’s clarinet program! With performances by the SPCM Clarinet Choir, clarinet instructor Jake Meyer, SPCM Executive Artistic Director Cléa Galhano (recorder), and percussion instructor Matt McClung, the evening will feature a series of pieces by German composer Sören Sieg, including an arrangement made by Sieg especially for SPCM clarinetists.

SPCM Clarinet instructor Jake Meyer is the principal clarinetist of the Ocala Symphony Orchestra and is an active freelancer and teacher in the Twin Cities. Recently, he has performed with the Round Top Festival Orchestra and served as principal clarinetist of the Florida State University Symphony Orchestra and Wind Orchestra. He has also appeared as a soloist with the St. Olaf Orchestra on six occasions, performing the first movement of Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto and Debussy’s Première Rhapsodie. Jake holds his Bachelor’s of Music from St. Olaf College and his Master’s of Music from Florida State University.
