Saint Paul Chamber Music Institute featured faculty member Paul Katz will present a series of master classes that are open to the public during the inaugural session of the institute.
Katz, as cellist of the Cleveland Quartet for 26 years, made over 2,500 concert appearances on four continents, performing in all of the music capitals, great concert halls and music festivals of the world, as well as at the White House, on multiple television programs, and at “The Grammy Awards” (in 1973, the first classical musicians ever to appear on that show). He teaches at The New England Conservatory of Music in Boston and has mentored many of the finest young string quartets on the world’s stages today. His cello students hold memberships in many of the finest quartets and have achieved international recording and performance careers with solo CDs on major recording labels.
