Join SPCM to celebrate the launch of its new Contemporary Music Program! Beginning in fall 2019, SPCM’s Contemporary Music program will serve students of all ages, adults included, who are interested in learning popular styles of music including rock, blues, jazz, bluegrass, folk, and more. It will feature small class sizes and provide hands-on, personal attention. Classes will prepare students to perform, improvise, write songs, and use technology to record and produce their own music.

For its faculty, the Contemporary Music program will rely on the depth of skill and experience that can be found in the Twin Cities’ music community. The curriculum will be prepared and taught by exceptional teaching artists, who combine deep knowledge and experience of musical education with their intimate experience as accomplished performers.

This launch party will feature performances by members of the new Contemporary Music faculty, as well as opportunities to meet faculty, learn more about the program, and get your questions answered. Feel free to join us for the whole event or to stop by briefly!
