EVELYN LEE is a graduate of Manhattanville College of the Sacred Heart, Upon graduation she received a scholarship to pursue a graduate degree in piano at Yale University. She had attended summer workshops and classes at Catholic University, Indiana University, and University of St. Thomas, as well as MMTA and MTNA conventions. Her graduate thesis on a piano pedagogy method that integrates various approaches to teaching reading, ear training, and piano skills as well as her strong interest in injury-free playing, form the basis of her teaching from the beginning student to the advanced. Lee is an active and nationally certified member of Minnesota Music Teachers Association and was former chair of the St. Paul chapter of the National Guild of Piano Teachers. Her students participate in  MMTA and St. Joseph’s piano contests, as well as MMTA theory tests. Her students participate in four studio recitals as well as the school recitals. She has written numerous articles to further explain various aspects of piano technique and music theory to supplement and cast further insight into piano technique and music theory. Her students also learn exercises in Yoga and in Qi Cong to help them to overcome performance anxiety and to heighten their memorization skills.   She has also written two articles that have appeared in two national publications: Yoga in Music Studio in American Music Teachers, and Playing Scales in Clavier.
