In this unique Musical Summer Camp, we encourage trumpet, french horn, trombone, baritone, and tuba players of all ages and levels to attend. Instruction will serve beginning, intermediate, and advanced french horn, trumpet, baritone, trombone, and tuba students of all ages. No prior experience is required!
The mornings will include large brass ensemble rehearsals, instrument-based masterclasses, smaller ensembles, and classes based on experience. Brass-related skills that will be improved include breathing, embouchure formation, mouthpiece buzzing, and other tone-based skills. Musical skills such as listening and blending, as well as ensemble playing, will round out each day. For young students, special music games will be offered. We will celebrate a fun week of music by sharing a culmination concert with other brass ensembles from SJSM-SPCM on Friday evening — family and friends are invited to attend!
Keep checking back as camp approaches - more specifics to come!
