The Saint Paul Conservatory of Music offers instruction to students of all ages.
Lessons are designed to meet the needs of each student, taking into account the background of the individual and musical goals. Prospective students are interviewed and an assessment is made of strengths and skills. Lessons are taught by established and recognized artist-teachers.
Students typically enroll for 30 to 34 lessons for the year. Cost for individual instruction ranges from $32 – $35 for a half-hour lesson. Forty-five minute and hour long lessons are available for more advanced students. Partnered lessons are available. Students split the cost of lessons ($16 to $17.50 per half hour). Payment plans are available. Please review our policies.
The Conservatory subscribes to a comprehensive approach to musical studies, exposing students to the theoretical and historical aspects of music, as well as the joys of performing. Studying within the context of a conservatory environment enables students to participate in recitals, repertoire classes, and ensemble experiences.
The Saint Paul Conservatory of Music features an international faculty of accomplished instructors and performers. We accept students of all ages at beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels of skill. Students benefit from the experience of belonging to a music-making community, frequent performance opportunities, and an approach to learning that emphasizes cooperation over competition.
