Lauren Anastos began her musical training at MacPhail Center for the Arts at age 6. As a youth, she participated in Minnesota Youth Symphonies and Artaria Chamber Music School. Lauren graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in the Spring of 2011 with a B.A. in Violin Performance and English Literature. Since then, Lauren has worked as a musician on cruise ships, received her secondary education teaching license, been certified to teach Suzuki by the Suzuki Association of the Americas, and has taught at the St. Paul Conservatory of Music since 2014. She is a violinist in the St. Paul Conservatory of Music’s quartet in residence. In her spare time, Lauren likes to perform with her band and quartet, travel, play with her puppy, and read!
Lauren has studied with Karen Moon, Mary Sorlie, Mary West, Yuri Merschevsky, Tyrone Greive, Aaron Janse, Remus Azoitei, and members of the Artaria and Pro Arte Quartets.
