Minnesota native Yukina Ono began taking violin lessons at age six with the Suzuki Method. She holds a Bachelor’s of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Minnesota, where she studied under renowned pedagogue Sally O’Reilly.
Yukina is an avid performer and chamber musician. She is Principal 2nd Violin at Mankato Symphony Orchestra, in addition to performing with the professional orchestras of Duluth, La Crosse, and Rochester. She performs chamber music with the Prospect Strings, and tango with Rogue Tango. Yukina won First Place in the Schubert Club Competition in 2016. She was also selected to solo with the Kenwood Symphony Orchestra as their Master's Concerto and Aria Competition winner for 2016.
