Jesse Nummelin is a cellist from Minneapolis. He spends much of his time teaching cello and playing chamber and symphonic music. He has cello studios at the Waldorf City of Lakes school, at Music Connection in Forest Lake and he also plays with the South Dakota Symphony. Jesse has played with Phoenix Symphony, Tucson Symphony and many other symphony orchestras. He has performed with notable artists including; Lang Lang, Andrea Bocelli, Pinchas Zukerman, Anne Akiko Meyers, Allison Eldredge, Amit Peled, Andre Watts, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Curtis Stigers, the Juilliard String Quartet and John Williams. Jesse has played in masterclasses with Marc Johnson, Zuill Bailey, and Joel Krosnick. His teachers include Thomas Landschoot, Dr. Lawrence Leviton, Dr. Tim Mutschlecner, John Greiner and Susan Bender.
